Perennials

Perennials are non-woody plants that die back to the ground every fall only to reappear again the next spring. They are major components of a successful garden. While usually blooming for a shorter period of time than annuals, they bring a diversity of flower and foliage unavailable from annuals alone. Another value of perennials is that they come back year after year, a bed of perennials does not have to be replanted every year in the spring. Many of our beloved plants are perennials ranging from the old fashioned favorites on up to the most recent hybrid varieties. For color, diversity and charm, nothing beats perennials.

In the department you will find all the plants you need for years of pleasure and beauty.

Roses

Roses have had a long history in the flower garden and it's no wonder why. Offering both beauty and fragrance, they are an important part of any garden. Ranging from the miniature roses up to the large caned creepers, there is a rose suitable for just about anyone's taste and anyone's yard. While many of the modern hybrid tea and floribunda roses do require a certain amount of maintenance, others such as the rugosas and the species roses require practically none at all. A rose is a must.

Bulbs

Bulbs, both tender and hardy, are a unique approach to packaging in the plant world. Contained within a bulb is the potential for an entire plant; roots, stems and flowers. While we usually think of the spring flowering plants such as tulips and daffodils when we hear the word bulb, in truth, there are bulbs that will flower in summer, fall and even a few that will bloom indoors in the winter. Bulbs can delight us in the early spring or offer us an exotic foliar effect or an impressive display of flowers throughout the rest of the growing season.
